Preston is well-connected and has built a strong network in Idaho and beyond. He became well acquainted with the Idaho Bar as a law clerk for District Judge Mitchell W. Brown, helping prepare the Judge for trial and dozens of summary judgment hearings. In private practice, Preston developed a breadth of experience managing a busy caseload involving real property litigation, city attorney work including planning and zoning for Preston, ID, contract drafting, estate planning, and valuable court time handling child protection and family law cases. At Clark Wardle, LLP, Preston has proven to be a valuable asset whether it be handling a land use application or offering litigation support for partners.

Previously, Preston worked for Clearwater Analytics, a publicly owned Idaho company based in Boise. He also worked for longtime senator Dean L. Cameron in the Idaho Legislature. Preston is licensed in Utah and worked for the late U.S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch in Washington D.C., pertaining to his Judiciary Committee role. While living in Preston, ID, Preston served 3 years on the city’s Chamber of Commerce Board, including terms as Vice-President and President. 

Preston’s philosophy and approach focuses on building bridges and finding workable solutions, while zealously advocating for the client’s cause.

Preston cherishes his wife and 3 children and enjoys going on lots of adventures with them and their mountain dog.
